NHS PROFESSIONALS GET INTO CYBER FOR FREE!!
NHS Cybersecurity Apprenticeship – September 2026 cohort
If you work in the NHS and want to deepen your cybersecurity expertise, this opportunity may be worth exploring.
The NHS is launching the second cohort of the Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship, designed to support professionals working across health and care organisations.
Programme overview
• Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship
• 24-month programme starting September 2026
• Designed for existing NHS digital / IT professionals
• Supports the Cyber Security Strategy for Health and Social Care (2023–2030)
Industry certifications included
Participants will have the opportunity to work towards recognised qualifications such as:
• CompTIA Network+
• CompTIA Security+
• EC-Council Certified Network Defender (CND)
How the programme is delivered
• Online classroom learning
• Optional residential training sessions
• Funded through the organisation’s apprenticeship levy
• No direct cost burden for departments

Eligibility
You must:
• Work for the NHS or an NHS-affiliated organisation
• Have cybersecurity as part or all of your role
• Meet visa and residency requirements
• Obtain line manager approval
